BOOK A TIGER is a modern cleaning service, which helps you to find your personal cleaning professional and manage your cleaning appointments. This service is available through your personal online account and through the BOOK A TIGER App. You might have some questions on the way to your first cleaning appointment but also afterwards. We hope that the following FAQ will help you to overcome the final obstacles.

Booking and Order

It takes approximately 3,5 hours to clean a mid-sized apartment. Please use this as a general guideline when making your booking. Of course the time it takes to clean can vary, depending on your individual housing situation. No matter if the cleaning takes more or less time than projected, we will find a solution. However, we do not offer cleaning below 2.5 hours and we can not change this afterwards. If your cleaner finishes earlier, please discuss if additional tasks can be done.
After booking one of our Tigers through the website, you will receive a confirmation email. Here you have the possibility to check all order details. If you didn't receive a booking confirmation, please check your spam mail and contact our customer care afterwards. You will have the full overview of your booking by loggin in your customer dashboard. Use the "log in" button in the right upper corner of our website.
Changes or cancellations made on short notice will lead to some service fees. More details can be found in our cancellation and reschedule policy. Please use your customer dashboard for any kind of rescheduling or cancellation of single orders or your whole cleaning projection.If you have technical problems to cancel your cleaning plan within your dashboard, please send an email to and we will cancel the booking for you.
The cleaners are available mondays to saturdays between 6am and 11pm.
Generally, we need 48 hours to process your booking, clarify all the details and find the right cleaning professional for you. In case you need the BOOK A TIGER service on really short notice, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do everything that is possible to carry out your order.

You can enter your voucher for a new regular cleaning in the third step of the booking process. If this does not work, please contact our Customer Service. Please note that on single bookings such as last minute, and test cleanings, no discount campaigns will be accepted.

Yes, you can add extra wishes or additional information in the third step of your booking process under "Special requests". If you have an alrady existing cleaning plan, you can add, modify or delete additional information in every order visible in your customer login.

The cleaning process

No, of course you do not have to be at home. Our cleaning service aims at providing you with more freedom in your daily routine and not less. It just needs to be ensured that the cleaner can enter your apartment.
Please have all the important cleaning material allocated on the spot: Vacuum cleaner; mop with bucket; proper detergents; glass cleaner; unclogger; toilet cleaner; various cloths / sponges.
In case the cleaner needs significantly less time to fulfill your order, you will naturally only pay the actual worked hours. If more time is needed to clean your apartment according to our standards, you will be informed about that early enough and can decide if you want to hire the cleaning professional for longer than the projected time.

Your satisfaction is our highest priority. We are happy about any feedback on your order. Please use the feedback form, which you will receive by email the day after your cleaning is fulfilled. If you are dissatisfied with the cleaning performance, please let us know within 48 hours after the cleaning. We will then take care of your feedback and find a solution.

The cleaning professionals

All cleaning professionals have to pass a multi-stage selection process before they can start working for us. We personally talk to each and every applicant, check their qualifications in a test cleaning and ensure security through collecting a clean police clearance certificate.
Please let us know that you would prefer an English-speaking cleaning professional in the comment field of your booking. We will do our best to find a cleaning professional with the required skills.
Generally, it can be easily arranged to have the same cleaning professional cleaning for you on a regular basis. If you are very satisfied with the work of the cleaner you booked, just let us know and we will organize the regular cleaning of your apartment. In case your preferred cleaning professional is exceptionally not available to carry out your order, we will definitely seek out another qualified cleaning professional from our BOOK A TIGER network for you.

The experienced cleaning professionals strive to fulfill their assignments to your complete satisfaction. In the event of damage, our cooperation with Ergo Versicherung AG will take over the full resolution of the case, with a coverage policy in the amount of up to 3,000,000 €. In this case we will naturally assist you and the cleaner with help and advice.

Price and Invoice

The cleaning service from BOOK A TIGER can be booked starting from 15.90 € per hour. The minimum time you can book a cleaning professional for is 2,5 hours. The price can differ by city or booking type.
Yes, the value added tax is already included in the price. However, most of the cleaning professionals from our BOOK A TIGER network are small businesswomen / businessmen and do not have to pay sales tax. Thus, the sales tax is not accounted for in the invoice.
You can choose whether you wish to pay online via PayPal, credit card or direct debit directly.
You will receive an email containing a detailed invoice 24h after the execution of your order to the email address you provided upon booking.
Services you book over BOOK A TIGER are household-related services and thus tax deductible according to German law. You receive a detailed invoice with all the particulars of your order which you can submit together with your income tax statement.

According to this German law:§ 35a Para. 5 EStG. you can save up to 20 % of the invoice.
Of course you can tip the cleaning professional but you are in no way expected to do so.
